Postpartum Doula Support

serving the Tucson area

What is a Postpartum Doula?

A postpartum doula offers care and support to the entire family unit during the first 5-7 weeks following birth. Postpartum doulas are a non-medical line of support that can offer evidence-based education to include: lactation education, newborn care, sibling integration, meal preparation and household organization. We offer support in emotional and physical recovery from childbirth, as well as other issues related to the postpartum period. Postpartum doulas also have the ability to make referrals as necessary.

A postpartum doula does NOT replace any support system you may already have in place. It is our job to simply act as an additional, non-judgmental, unbiased line of support for the entire family.

Each family comes with their own unique dynamic and therefore requires personalized postpartum care. Postpartum is not one size fits all! This is one of the most vulnerable times in your life and I recognize what a privilege it is to be welcomed into your postpartum space. It is my honor to offer companionship and hold space that will allow you to process your birth.

Hold the mother, not the baby.
